Camparing 1972 to 2016

For many years, the progressive movement used the Democratic Party to run for various political offices. Bobby Seale of the Black Panther Party ran for the office of mayor in Oakland California in 1973. He lost the election by a small margin. Tom Hayden (formerly of Students for a Democratic Society S.D.S) ran for senator in California in 1976. He also lost by a small margin. After, the election, he started a movement called: Campaign for Economic Democracy. Now we got the Bernie Sanders campaign.
It will be no surprise that Bernie Sanders will lose by a small margin. What will happen after the presidential election? Will Bernie Sanders like tom Hayden start a new progressive movement? In my latest article, I recount the McGovern campaign in 1972.

Tom Hayden was SDS and had a RADICAL analysis. Bernie is a LIBERAL
DEMOCRAT who votes in line with Hillary (Neoliberal) Clinton 93% of the
time.

From a recent comment I made elsewhere on the intertubz:

A few harsh words for ‪#‎BernieSanders‬ supporter, mostly mental midgets
who think they know how US politics work..

IF he gets nominated his campaign funding, thanks to the Democratic
Party campaign warchest, will be come from the same sources as Hillary
and the Republican candidate. That's mostly the financial industry and
the war machine manufacturing industries.

Stop LYING TO YOURSELF... There's absolutely nothing special about
Burn-E's candidacy and he CERTAINLY isn't a socialist. Hell, Howard
Dean, a conservative Democrat noted Bernie as being a LIBERAL years ago,
and Dean WOULD refer to Bernie as a 'wild-eyed radical' if he was even
remotely progressive. He isn't. He votes in sync with Neoliberal Hillary
93% of the time, and you expect change from this shill whose job it is
to siphon support from a real socialist Jill Stein, and lead idealistic
young people to the polls to vote for Hillary like he will when he loses
the nomination?

Ps. US Law Enforcement lobbyists LUV Democrats, so if you're expecting
to protest when you find out Bernie was a shill, a liar, and worse,
expect them to have the latest and greatest in Riot Control technology...

But I don't expect you'll be protesting. The same true believing
schmucks who voted for Obama and watched him take Bushboy's programs and
REINFORCE THEM, are gonna vote for this murderous schmuck too, and never
look to see they didn't get what they voted for.
